I was advised to see a GI doctor to confirm my rectal pain was a fissure. My primary physician and the ER doctor both thought it might be, but only because other reasons for the pain were ruled out. The MNGI doctor did nothing except prescribe a cream. I didn't know anything more about what was going on than I did before.
I think that the staff are great. However my doctor was really difficult to talk to and can be difficult to get an answer or response from when directly spoken to.
Excellent
4 out of 5 for recommendation for slow communication.
Gina is patient, listens well, and is a no nonsense kind of gal. I appreciate all of that.
I felt that the most helpful gal was the gal that drew my blood. She informed me what tests were ordered for me, explained some of the things being tested, was very friendly, gave me the list of tests so I had it for my personal records. She also informed me that it would take roughly a week for all of the results. I am under the impression these will show up in my online portal and that the doctor will call me when he is done analyzing the results with what needs to happen next-- which I wish would have been a little more clear (possibilities).
The printed information the doctor gave me conflicted with the information we discussed.
good
it was a lot of information and I was a little overwhelmed.
I had mild discomfort after a meal and thought it was because I am diabetic. I was prescribed omeprazole 40 mg. Took it for a month. It TORE my stomach up. And gave me SEVERE diarrhea. How I do have pain (stomach) was prescribed a milder one but chose not to take it.
