Dr. Ehrhardt is originally from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. He graduated from Brown University magna cum laude with honors in 1993 and lived in the Boston area for two years doing research in protein chemistry before coming back to Wisconsin to go to medical school. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1999. He met his wife during medical school and they did internship together in Portland, OR before moving back to Madison to complete internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Dr Ehrhardt has been working for SSM Health Dean Medical Group since he graduated from fellowship in 2005. During his nearly 19 years at SSM/Dean, he served as Gastroenterology Department Chair, the SSM Health Wisconsin Board of Directors, Dean Medical Group Medical Affairs Committee and the Multi-Disciplinary Peer Review Committee. Dr Ehrhardt has practiced the full spectrum of GI including ERCP, luminal stenting, liver disease, and complex inflammatory bowel disease. Dr Ehrhardt joined MNGI in 2024.
