Experience
Heather earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a concentration in Chemistry from North Dakota State University in 1999. After graduation, she worked as a public and corporate health educator while assisting with several published research projects funded by the American Heart Association.
She received her graduate training in Physician Assistant Studies from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Following graduation, she returned to her home state of Minnesota and began working as a physician assistant specializing in Dermatology. She has been with MNGI since 2006 and currently provides inpatient care at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

She enjoys downhill skiing, running, baking, arts and crafts, and reading mysteries. Her happy place is relaxing on the beach. More than anything, she loves spending time with her husband, two children, and Bernese Mountain Dog named Bode.
