Kate completed her undergraduate studies at The College of St. Benedict & St. John's University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dietetic Studies in 1999. She then practiced as a Registered Dietitian prior to pursuing graduate training. She earned her Physician Assistant degree from the UW La Crosse- Gundersen Lutheran - Mayo Clinic Physician Assistant Program in 2004, and then joined MNGI (formerly Minnesota Gastroenterology).
