I tried to schedule a f/u appointment to go over the results of my endoscopy and gastric emptying study. I was told the doctor had no openings until May!! That is NOT ok! In what setting is it acceptable to have to wait 2 months to go over test results with the ordering physician?! Then I was offered an appointment to f/u with my results with a different doctor. What?! That would be fragmented care then! A different doctor wouldn't know my background, or why the original doctor ordered the tests she did. Granted, a new doctor could read the past visit notes-but that's not in a patient's best interest! If this doctor can't manage her patient load, she shouldn't be taking on new patients!!

Staff was very responsive to return phone calls and offer alternatives when I had an issue with a medication.
Dr. ordered 2 follow up procedures, still not scheduled. Have been back and forth between UM Health FV scheduling and MNGI and after working with pt. coordinator at MNGI, still not scheduled. Not sure why such a process.
I was disappointed that there were no notes from the visit available to myself or my PCP provided automatically. I brought with me printouts of my medications and surgical history, information which was not reflected In the document provided through the patient portal. I did talk with someone on the phone who said an ROI was not necessary for communications between you and the Northfield Hospitals and Clinics. My PCP has now sent an ROI for this information. I must note I am appreciative that Dr. Barancin did take notes on her proposed treatment plan, and gave that to me, which was very helpful. The other problem I have is I do not have the equipment in place for a virtual visit, and am uncertain how my hearing impairment will work with this plan. Dr. Barancin (or the practice) apparently only offer follow-up virtual visits. I will get the equipment, but whether that works on this end is not a certainty.
